Malelani Café

Our collaboration with employees and patrons has been instrumental in growing Malelani from a simple restaurant into a cultural touchstone. At nighttime, the café doors open up, and we support community-building programs. Malelani provides a safe, stable place for people to just be themselves. We nourish people's souls through the visual arts, music, dance, political activism, poetry, comedy, small business, social events, and personal development.

Musical Mondays! Open Mic w/ Benny P.
This month featuring Persistent Resistors! Rhys and Brigid MacArthur-Thompson are sibling singer-songwriters from Philadelphia with roots in folk, folk-punk, americana, and bluegrass. Joined by Jimmy Gasper on bass and Dexter Myers on cajon, they sing about life and the ever-increasing need for resistance! Open Mic is the 1st Monday of every month from 7 - 9 PM! The 2nd and 4th Monday of every month from 6 - 9 PM! A rotating ensemble of jazz musicians and singers led by saxophone extraordinaire William Schenk. Come to listen or possibly join if you are a musician or singer!

It's Valentine's Day! We will be celebrating with a few specials! We will have exclusive strawberry heart mini cheesecakes with berry compote. A "Dinner for Two" special which comes with any platter of your choice with an extra pita to share, two drinks, and a mini strawberry cheesecake to share! We will also have our new Ghirardelli hot chocolate and mochas with red sprinkles!
